Home-Grown Mint

Mint has got to be one of the easiest plants to grow—yet, for some reason, I couldn’t succeed at it here in Sacramento! Here is a photo of one of my hearty harvests from back when I lived in L.A. There are actually quite a few foods and drinks that call for mint. There’s mint tea, of course (you can chop up fresh mint or dry and powderize it, as I did with this batch), and certain mixed drinks (mojitos! and mint juleps). There’s also this soup (mint & pea), this salad (minted melon & feta), and this dessert (grilled pineapple), and much more, I’m sure.

Photos taken in December of 2011.
