So one time my dad mailed me this fish/catfish batter that he really liked. I’m pretty sure the main flavors (mixed into corn flour or corn meal, or a mix of corn flour/meal and regular flour) were just paprika, cayenne, black pepper, and salt, and maybe garlic. It definitely worked for fish, and then I tried it on tofu. The result, which I ate with rice and veggies, was good, and did remind me of catfish, but I had no idea what to dip them in that wouldn’t make for a strange flavor combination! I’d make it again if I didn’t have to eat them dry. Any suggestions?
