Csango Village, Miercurea Ciuc, Șumuleu Ciuc

This album, the second of my Oct. 2006 Romania trip, contains photos of:

  • a village inhabited by Csango Hungarians (probably in Bacău County)
  • Miercurea Ciuc / Csíkszereda (Romanian/Hungarian) [wikipedia]
  • Șumuleu Ciuc / Csíksomlyó [wikipedia] – church, site of enormous annual pilgrimage of Romanian & Hungarian Catholics

Also, puppies. Like the one above, looking a bit vampire-like, the night before Halloween. And depressing commie buildings, like the one below.
